Santa Claus

The name Santa Claus comes from St. Nicholas, the patron saint of Children. In Dutch, his name is “Sinter Klass,” which morphed into Santa Claus. In German traditions, the “Christkind” is a Santa-like figure. This name eventually morphed Kris Kringle.
