Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak has gone by many different names: Tava, Heey-otoyoo, Montaña del Sol, El Capitán, the Grand Peak, and finally Pike’s Peak, after explorer Zebulon Pike. The apostrophe was removed in 1890, becoming Pikes Peak.
