Palais Paar

The wooden panels (or boiserie) in this room are from the eighteenth century and part of the Palais Paar in Vienna, which was built around 1630. The home was demolished in 1931, but many of its interior details were saved. The panels here have been at the Metropolitan Museum of Art since the 1950s.
