Miss Grand Rapids

This plane, named “Miss Grand Rapids,” was operated by the Detroit-Grand Rapids Airline. The aircraft was a Stout 2-AT Pullman christened in 1926. According to some accounts, this airline had the first scheduled airline service, though others say that honor belongs to the St. Petersburg-Tampa Airboat Line. This photo was taken during the first transporting of furniture by air.
