Christmas Tree

The Christmas Tree is one of the icons of the holiday. While there are a variety of stories about how the tree became a holiday symbol, it likely dates back to an early European custom of decorating with evergreens in the winter. Christmas Trees could first be found in America in the 1740s, but it took a century for them to become popular.
