Cabin John Bridge

The Union Arch Bridge in Maryland is also known as the Cabin John Bridge after the creek it crosses over. Construction began in 1857 and finished seven years later. It was designed to carry water to Washington, D.C. The bridge’s designer was Montgomery Meigs, who also oversaw the construction of the U.S. Capitol dome.
