Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe was inaugurated in 1836 after thirty years of construction, and honors the soldiers of the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. It is located in the Place Charles de Gaulle, originally called the Place de l'Étoile, where twelve roads converge in one roundabout.
